8/8/17 - Bloom is a 6-foot-1 180-pound left-handed pitcher in Kansas’ 2018 class. Bloom’s fastball has two-seam action at 75-77 mph, commanded both sides of the plate, late life, 1-to-7 action on curveball, 61-64 mph, late action, slider at 70-71 mph, more 2-to-8 action, change up has slight arm side release, 68 mph, throws with near fastball arm speed, strike thrower with all pitches, attacks hitters, throws with regular effort in delivery, repeats, smooth tempo, short over the top release, hides ball well.

1/18/16 - Bloom is a 6-foot- 165-pound left-handed hitting first baseman in Kansas’ 2018 class.  Bloom ran a 4.53 home-to-first and had an exit velo of 81 mph.  At the plate, Bloom has a repeatable swing, in line stride, free hands, level path, consistent line drives to middle of cage during batting practice.  On the infield, 76 mph positional velo at 1B, fluid work with quick exchange and release, accurate throws, shows ability to start double play, moves well, showing range. On the mound, Bloom is a strike thrower with three pitches.  His fastball was 74-76 mph, change up at 68-70 mph fastball arm speed, slight arm side sink, curveball has 12-to-6 shape with late action.  Controlled delivery, repeats release point, arm works, throws with regular effort, accelerated tempo during delivery.
