Positional Profile: RHP

Body: 6-foot-1, 180-pound lean and athletic frame with room for added strength.

Delivery:  Works exclusively out of the stretch.  Smooth tempo to coiled balance point while keeping shoulders square to target.  Works from the 1B side of the rubber and strides closed creating tough angles for the hitter.  Hands are low and hands break away from the body.  Repeats the motion well and maintains good balance throughout.

Arm Action: RH.  High ¾ arm slot with quick hand speed and across the body release.

FB: 87-88 mph, mostly straight with good spin rate and some life.

SL: 76 mph, short 10/4 shape with tight cutting action and solid spin. 

CH: 77-79 mph, low spin rate with slight cutting action and minimal downward depth.

Displays a lean, projectable 6-foot-1, 170-pound frame on the mound. Works downhill from the stretch with good direction, landing closed and throwing slightly across his body. Throws from a quick high ¾ arm slot. Fastball shows slight arm-side run for strikes low in the zone, 80-82 mph. Slider has tight 10/4 break, 71-73 mph.


6/19/18 - Norris is a slender and projectible frame at 6-foot, 145 pounds and is a member of Kansas’ 2022 class from Blue Valley HS. He ran a 4.69 home-to-first and posted an exit velocity of 72 mph. During batting practice, Norris uses an abbreviated leg lift to get to his load, in line stride, finishes with his hands high. Defensively in the outfield, he works behind the baseball, high ¾ arm slot, momentum towards his target, positional velo of 78 mph with accurate throws. On the mound, Norris shows a compact delivery, downhill, long and loose arm action, fastball is 72-76 for a high percentage of strikes, curveball is 58-62 mph, 10-to-4 shape, changeup is 65-66 mph with some arm side run.
