On the mound showed a very simple delivery with limited moving parts, maintains body control and repeats. Quick, clean arm action. Fastball with arm-side run, 79-82 mph, strikes. Controllable breaking ball with 11/5 shape, 63-65 mph. Feel for change-up with sink, 66-68 mph. Around the plate with all three pitches. Reliable strike-pumper. He ran a 4.21 home to first and has a 92 mph exit velo, one of top RHH exit velos for the event. At the plate, controlled leg lift with smooth rhythm, in-line stride, loose hands level through the zone, swing produced consistent line drives gap-to-gap. On the infield, over the top release, plays behind and through the catch, quick catch and throw, 79 mph positional velo, one of top infield velos for the event, strong and durable frame.

1/19/15 - Clark is a right-hand hitting infielder and right-handed pitcher. Attends Blue Valley Southwest HS in a Southwest suburb of Kansas City, athletic 6-foot-1, 170-pound frame. Athletic set-up at the plate, strong presence in the box, leg kick, minimal hand load, short path, maintains balance, finishes with extension. Simple swing with bat speed. Consistent hard, flat contact in batting practice. 81 exit velocity, ran a 4.51 home-to-first. Showed athletic infield actions, soft hands, high three-quarters arm action, arm works, 77 mph throwing velocity, very accurate throws. On the mound works under control early, tall to fall delivery, medium length arm action, three-quarters slot, rhythm, athletic finish, repeats. Fastball with arm side running action, 77-79 mph. Controllable breaking ball with 11/5 shape, 64-65 mph. Change-up 68-70 mph. Overall has solid across the board skills and athleticism. Carries himself with confidence.
6/18/1 4- Clark is a 6-foot, 170-pound right-handed pitcher. He showed a very simple, athletic delivery with minimal moving parts and throws from a tall balance point. Clark has clean arm action and throws from a high three-quarters arm slot. His fastball was clocked in the 76-78 mph range, most with arm-side running action. He also features a 65-67 breaking ball. Having watched a number of the athletic, clean arm action class of 2016 pitchers bump their velocity from upper 70’s to low-to-mid-80’s over the last year this is certainly a possibility for Clark.
6/18/14 - Clark is 6-foot, 170-pound right-hand hitting third baseman. During infield drills he showed athletic actions, clean exchanges and threw from with easy three-quarters arm action making most accurate throws with a top velocity of 77 mph. At the plate, he has a tall set-up and open stance. He has a fluid, minimal hand load and uses a reverse toe tap before striding inline. He generates bat speed while maintaining balance throughout his swing and finishes with extension. Clark’s hands work well and he has a simple, repeatable swing built to produce line drives in the middle of the field. His exit velocity high was 86 mph. He ran a 4.75 home-to-1B from the right side in workouts before the game then bested it with a 4.51 in the games. Clark went 1-for-2 in the games and stole a base. He is just entering his sophomore year and has solid across the board tools, athletic actions and a projectable frame with room to fill out. His athleticism and infield actions easily translate to the middle infield as well.
2/21/14 – Clark is 6-foot, 160-pound SS. Clark has a high ¾ release with a top velo of 74 to first base. He has good footwork and clean exchange, making accurate throws to first. At the plate, Clark has little wasted moves in his load and has a short path to contact. He has a level swing path with good extension. Overall, Clark has a gap-to-gap approach with a an exit velo of 81 MPH. He runs a 4.65 home-to-first.
2/21/14 – Clark is a thin 6-foot, 160-pound right handed pitcher. He has good balance point and a high ¾ delivery. He has good rhythm and balance throughout the delivery. Clark’s fastball was clocked between 75-76 MPH and he showed a 12/6 curveball with late break at 68-70 MPH. His change-up was thrown at near fastball arm speed with some sink at 70-72 MPH.
