10/20/18 - Wentling is a 5-foot-11, 170-pound left-handed hitting catching prospect in Kansas’ 2022 recruiting class. At the event he ran a 7.27 second 60 yard dash, 4.42 home-to-first and posted an exit velocity of 80 mph. During batting practice, Wentling has a balanced lower half, in line stride, high set up with hands, aggressive to the baseball. Defensively behind the plate, Wentling showed quick high three-quarter arm action, clean transfers, pop times between 2.32 and 2.45 seconds, positional velocity of 63 mph, mostly accurate throws.
