10/16/16- 6-foot, 160-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. 7.4 runner. Tall athletic stance, leg kick trigger, stays through zone well, consistent hard line drive contact to both gaps, with flashes of pop in bat, 90 mph exit velocity. Light on his feet, late glove presentation occasionally fielding deep in stance, solid glove with clean exchanges, long release on throws with clean arm action, 83 mph arm strength across infield. On mound, good tempo and rhythm, shows athleticism and body control, has extension to plate, and arm works clean out front. Fastball was 81-84 mph with solid life and running action to plate. Breaking ball was inconsistent with sideways spin and wobbly shape. Shows feel for changeup with solid fade.

6/14/16 - Brimacombe is a 5-foot-10 160-pound right-handed hitting shortstop in Kansas’ 2018 class.  He ran a 5.16 home to first and a 7.66 60.  He has an 80 mph exit velo. At the plate, mostly pull side line drives during batting practice, flashes power, slightly open stance, no wasted movement in load, quick bat speed with level bat path. On the infield, 75 mph positional velo, field ball in athletic position ready to throw, fluid footwork, quick catch and throw, momentum through the catch, accurate throws with carry. On the mound, Brimacombe has a high three quarters release point, loose arm action, in line stride, repeatable mechanics, throws with regular effort, fastball at 76-78 mph, breaking ball has 12-to-6 shape, 64-67 mph, controllable change up at 73 mph, some running action, struck out four, walked three and allowed two hits in game action, gained strength as outing went along, projectable frame.

1/18/16 - Brimacombe is a 5-foot-10 160-pound right-handed hitting shortstop in Kansas’ 2018 class.  He runs a 4.76 home-to-first and has a 77 mph exit velo. At the plate, balanced set up, slightly open, no wasted movement in load, simple and repeatable mechanics, quick hand, level through the hitting zone, gap-to-gap approach.  On the infield, 74 mph positional velo, high three quarters release, hands and feet in sync, plays through the ball with momentum towards first base.
