2015 All-Eastern Kansas League - 1st Team
4/20/15 - Uncommitted class of 2016 catcher and first baseman. Physical player with a 6-foot-3, 210-pound frame. Has strength, thick lower half. Right handed hitter that hit fourth in the Huskies line up and has come up big this spring. Leads the team in hitting at .519.
2/16/15 - Duke is a strong, athletic 6-foot-3, 225-pound right-hand hitting catcher that attends Blue Valley Northwest HS in Overland Park, KS. Class of 2016. Right-hand hitter. Balanced set-up, minimal hand load, leg kick, loose hands, bat speed, maintains balance. Worked middle of the field to slight pull, ball jumped off bat when he squared it up. Ran a 4.28 home-to-first, strong runner. Throwing to second showed quick feet. Short, three-quarter snap throw. Throws had carry, top pop time 2.01, 78 mph throwing velocity, accurate arm. Physically impressive class of 2016 catching prospect and athlete.
6/5/14 - C Jack Duke (’16 Blue Valley Northwest) consistently threw to second in the 2.00 range.  The physically-impressive Duke, who saw significant action for BVNW at first base this spring is a strong candidate to move behind the dish for the Huskies next spring.
5/1/14 - Duke is a 6-foor-3, 200-pound first-baseman/catcher for Blue Valley Northwest.  We saw Duke in the fall and to say he has packed on some strength and size since then is an understatement.  This spring he is one of a group of talented sophomores that have seen playing time for Northwest, a rarity at the upper levels of 6A baseball in Kansas.  Duke is playing first base this spring, but with the graduation of senior catcher Chase Kilty he is a strong candidate to move behind the plate for his junior year.  During pre-game infield he showed sure hands and quick feet around the bag.  He has a loose, quick arm making strong, accurate throws.  At the plate he uses a balanced set-up and short stride.  He showed bat speed and a middle of the field approach.  This spring he is hitting .345 with eight RBI and 10 runs scored.  With his size, overall athleticism and ability to play multiple positions (including catch) he’s a strong follow for college baseball recruiters.
10/19/13 - Duke is another physically impressive sophomore in high school that attended this event.  The 6-foot-3, 180-pound catcher hits with an athletic, balanced stance and smooth load.  He’s a line-drive type of hitter with a short path to the ball.  Duke shows excellent balance throughout his swing and flattened out a number of balls into right centerfield.  His exit velocity was clocked at 84 mph.  He collected two hits in the game, including a triple.  Duke’s home to 1B time was 4.51. He just recently started catching but showed quick feet and a clean exchange throwing to 2B.  His pop time was 2.05 with a 78 mph throwing velocity.  His catching stood out in the game showing good receiving skills, overall quickness and throwing out multiple base runners trying to steal. Duke is one of the top class of 2016 catching prospects in Kansas.
