Delivery: Full wind-up delivery. Easy, repeatable mechanics. Tall balance point and high leg kick. Drives down the mound with his lower half. Generates some shoulder tilt, lands inline with home. Balanced finish.
Arm Action: RH. Long high-3/4 arm action. Clean release with arm speed.
FB: T85, 84-85 mph. Slight arm-side run. Ride through the zone. T2259, 2219 average rpm.

The No. 5 prospect in the Kansas 2027 class, RHP Kam Smith (Girard) had another standout showing on the mound in Tuesday’s look. Listed at 6-foot-2, 165-pounds with plenty of room to add strength and size, Smith was in complete command of both sides of the plate with all three pitches. The sophomore ran his fastball up to 85.4 mph while sitting at 84-85 mph with an average of 2,200+ RPM of spin. His fastball also played with natural carry, averaging 14 inches of vertical break. Smith also spun a curveball at 74-76 mph that reached 2,500 RPM of spin and mixed in a changeup with arm side fade at 74-76 mph.

Arm Action: RH. Long, clean, whippy arm action. High 3/4 arm slot.
FB: T83, 82-83 mph. Plays with some ride at the top of the zone. T2177, 2096 average rpm.
SL: 72-72 mph. 11/5 shape. Long break. T2150, 2148 average rpm.
CH: 72-74 mph. Kills spin. Slows down arm speed slightly. T1393, 1341 average rpm.
