11/3/13 - Richards is a 6-foot-1, 180-pound boxy-bodied left-hander. He has a very simple delivery with excellent body control throughout allowing his long arm action to deliver a high number of strikes. He throws slightly across his body that assists in his deception but had no effect on his ability to locate his pitches. He throws from a high ¾ slot with a fastball ranging from 78-82 mph with some arm side run. He features a 60-61 curveball and a 72-73 slider. His change-up was 70-72. Richards has good feel for all his pitches.
