1/15/18 - Alexander is a lean and long 5-foot-10 165-pound right-handed hitting second baseman and right-handed pitcher in Kansas’ 2019 class.  He ran a 4.90 home to first and has an 80 mph exit velocity. At the plate, starts loaded in back side, minimal load, loose pre-swing rhythm in hands, short in line stride, shows some range in swing, mostly middle to pull side contact during batting practice, hands create bat whip. On the infield, 76 mph positional velocity, works around the ball with active feet, over the top release, clean exchange, quick catch and throw. On the mound, Alexander has an simple and repeatable delivery, hand work in sync with leg lift, lands slightly open, over the top release, throws with regular effort and loose arm action, fastball flashed slight run, 78-80 mph, breaking ball has 12-to-6 downward action, at 65-67 mph, throws change up with near fastball arm speed, 65-67 mph.
7/5/17 -  Alexander is a 5-foot-10 165-pound right-handed hitting second baseman and right-handed pitcher in Kansas’ 2019 class.  He ran a 7.69 60 and has an 81 mph exit velo. At the plate, starts loaded on back leg, open stance, minimal load, strong lower half, level path through the zone, loose hands, gap to gap line drives during batting practice.  On the infield, 72 mph positional velo, three quarters release, works around ball creating momentum to throw, clean exchange on time with footwork, mostly accurate throws. On the mound, Alexander has an over the top release, controlled tempo during wind up, rocks into back leg during stretch, strides slightly open, loose arm action, repeats, fastball at 75-77 mph, breaking ball has gradual 12-to-5 action, 67-79 mph, throws splitter at 65-67 mph, some sink.
