6/27/17 - Hungate has a projectable frame at 6-foot-1 and 165-pounds and is a RHP and first baseman in Kansas’ 2018 class. He ran a 7.36 laser timed 60 and 4.44 home-to-first. His exit velo was 83 mph. At the plate, Hungate shows a easy and effortless swing, slightly open stance, quiet hands and singled in game action. At first base, he showed good actions with long arm arm action, positional velo of 79 mph with mostly accurate throws. On the mound, Hungate’s athletic build allows for a smooth and repeatable delivery, works consistently downhill and accelerates through his finish. He shows loose, clean arm action with a high ¾ release. Hungate is a strike thrower as he located his fastball to both sides of the plate between 80-82 mph with slight run and his curveball showed late bite, 11-to-5 action and with velo between 66-68 mph.

5/31/16 - Hungate is a 6-foot-1 155-pound left-handed hitting outfielder in Kansas’ 2018 class.  He ran a 7.09 60 and a 4.34 home-to-first.  He has an 80 mph exit velo. At the plate, simple and repeatable swing, athletic set up, toe tap, short stride, level bat path though the zone, middle approach, singled in game action.  In the outfield, 86 mph positional velo, one of the top velos on the day from the outfield, loose over the the top release, momentum through the catch, quick catch and throw, athletic actions, throw have carry, mostly accurate. On the mound, Hungate has a deliberate tempo in wind up, accelerates down the mound, over the top release, easy and loose arm action, throws with regular effort, got better as inning went along, fastball at 77-80 mph, curveball has 12-to-6 action, 61-63 mph, late action.
