10/31/15 - Short is a 6-foot-5 185-pound right-handed pitcher in Kansas’ 2017 class.  Short is lean and loose, throws with downhill tilt and loose arm action, command of three pitches, fastball touched 82 mph on four pitches, 11-to-5 breaking ball 65-67 mph, late action, change up at 70-73 mph down in zone, near fastball arm speed, showed a splitter at 65-67 with some sink and fastball arm speed.  Highly projectable build and arm action, throws with some effort, but controlled down the mound.  Look for increases over next several months. 

1/19/15 - Short is a right-handed pitcher in the Kansas class of 2017 that attends Goddard Eisenhower HS. 6-foot-4, 180-pound frame. Deliberate from rocker step to knee lift then aggressive move to the plate, high three-quarters slot, fast arm, three-quarters slot. All fastballs in the 80-82 range, consistent velocity, some with arm side run, also worked the glove side black. Change-up sinks and runs, 74-75 mph. Tall, projectable right-hander in the Kansas class of 2017 whose velocity is trending up since the fall.

11/2/14 - Short is a 6-foot-3, 180-pound right-handed pitcher. Ideal pitchers body. Works on far right side of rubber, tall balance point, stays tall during stride, picks up tempo during delivery, high three-quarters slot, some effort. Fastball with arm side run, at times late, 77-79 mph, 80 tops. Breaking ball has 11/5 shape, 65-67 mph. Change-up at 66-67 mph with variable movement. Tall, projectable class of 2017 right-hander.
