The Catholic BR product was laser-focused for this week's Week 1 Game of the Week vs. West Monroe. Facing a fellow LSU recruit, Ruckert got the scoring started in the bottom of the 1st with an opposite field RBI double to put the Bears up 1-0. He hit another opposite field double and a pull-side single to finish the night 3-4 with 2 2B's, RBI, and a BB. Ruckert's advanced plate discipline and strike zone awareness was evident throughout the night, and he always goes to the plate with a mature plan and approach. Defensively, during pre-game in & out, he also showed improved range and footwork with a smooth transfer and the ability to throw from different arm slots.
