Junior Future Game Trials Session II

Positional Profile: SS/RHP
Body: 5’10”, 177 pounds. Strong, athletic, projectable frame. 
Hit: Switch. Hits from a tall, balanced, slightly open stance from the right side. High leg kick load with good hand separation. Short to the ball with a slight uphill swing path. Shows quick bat speed through the zone and stays behind the ball well with good balance. Generates strong lower half involvement and gets good extension through and past contact, finishing with one hand. Hits from a slightly crouched, balanced stance from the left side. Medium sized leg kick load with good hand separation. Short to the ball with a more level swing path. Shows quick hands through the zone and stays behind the ball well with solid balance. Generates some lower half involvement and gets good extension through contact finishing with one hand. Solid middle to pull side line drive approach from both sides of the plate. 
Power: 85 mph exit velocity from the tee. Present pull side power and strength from both sides of the plate with more developing. 
Arm: RH. INF - 68 mph. Throws with short arm action from a mid to high three quarter slot. 
Defense: Plays loose with active feet and gets around the ball working through it to the target. Fields the ball out in front, funneling to the belt and gathers at the chest. Slight glove tap into clean exchanges. Rangy with soft hands and shows ability to throw from various arm slots.
Run: 4.57 home-to-first time.

Delivery: Side-step wind-up and leg kick into a tall, compact balance point. Controlled stride down the mound with a slight pause. Strong lower half and drop and drive delivery. Lands in-line with home plate and finishes over front side. Gets good extension through release. Easy effort.
Arm Action: RH. Throws downhill with shorter arm action from a high three-quarters slot.
FB: T74 mph, 72-74 mph. Showed some cut action.
CB: 57-59 mph. Showed tight spin and some gradual 11/5 shape.
CH: 57-63 mph.
SPLT: 61-63 mph.

MD Junior Future Games Trials

Strong, athletic body type and 5’8’’, 175 pound frame. Switch hitter. Hits from the left side from a balanced, open stance. Creates some hand separation in load with an average stride length that lands closed at foot-strike. Stays behind the ball well with some bat speed and a short, level swing path. Hits from the right side in a tall, well-balanced stance with a wide base. Loads hands back without a stride. Strong lower half and strength and power present from both sides. Recorded and event best 79 mph exit velocity. Plays with active feet and works through the ball in the infield. Fields the ball out in front and funnels to the belt. Long arm action throwing from a high three-quarters slot at 71 mph. Ran a 4.78 home-to-first time.
