2/10/18

PBR Mid-Atlantic ProCase 2.10.18

Archibald has simply formed himself into a high level prospect out of Maryland since he moved here from California just a couple of years ago. Hitting from an athletic set up, Archibald gets a little long in his load, but the bat speed and barrel whip more than makes up for it. Showed a knack to get a lot of barrel on the ball making loud contact and ability to drive the baseball. Versatile athlete capable of playing many positions, third base looks like best fit with his size speed and smooth hands and strong arm across the diamond. Show ability to rack up the extra base hits.

Has an athletic and projectable frame. Shows nice balance at the plate with some rhythm. Short swing with some extension and look to have power potential from the left side. Barrel stays through zone, and displays nice balance. Consistent on the mound in the 83-86 range and has reportedly been better over the summer. Pounds the strike zone with an athletic delivery and spins a 12/6 breaking ball with depth on the pitch and commands zone well. Showed feel for change.

7.19.16 - 2018 Ryan Archibald was 82-84 on the mound on Friday and hits from an athletic setup from the left side with good balance at the plate and a barrel that stays thru the zone. Potential 2-way player as a RHP/3B.

6.30.16 - John Carrol 2018 INF/RHP Ryan Archibald was 82-85 on the mound from an almost over the top arm angle. His ball has some late run to arm side with a shorter, sound arm action. Has good tempo in his athletic delivery and worked downhill very well. Breaking ball had close to 12/6 action on the pitch that ranged from 71-74 mph.
