Notes

Comments

6/13/21

Physical: Strong/compact frame with a thick lower half in the build; sneaky athleticism and 7.33 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: RHH - Even, upright stance with the hands at the shoulder to start; utilized a leg lift stride in order to initiate a higher-postured launch through a flat path into the hitting zone. Hit the ball hard on the barrel towards the middle of the field yielding an impressive 50% line drive rate via Trackman Baseball. Quick hands and simple approach, which led to consistency and occasional lift towards the LCF gap on pitches up in the zone; recorded a 90 mph peak bat-exit velocity during a round filled with advanced feel.

Defensively: The first baseman flashed a wide base at the fielding window, showing adequate footwork on a medium-paced approach; soft glove hand operated out in front and funneled inward off the right side of his body. Utilized an accurate, low ¾ slot notching an 80 mph arm strength.

Pitching: LHP - Started off the middle/right side of the rubber with a medium side rocker into a fast-paced leg lift/move down the mound; showed good directional drive downward towards the mitt. Everything worked on time as an athletic ¾ arm-slot peppered the zone at 82-84, T85 mph (10.1 inches HM average, strikes). Finished over the front side and slightly towards the third-base side aiding a sharp 67-69 mph CB with 1/7 shape in advantage counts. Countered with an advanced 75-77 mph CH featuring an upwards of 17 inches of arm-side run on average.

8/18/20

Physical: 5-foot-9, 200 pounds; strong, sturdy frame. 7.73 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Narrow, upright stance with an upright bat; small take back of the hands with bat on shoulder & slight leg kick into an even stride. Strong lower half, stays behind the ball well with swing stays in the zone throughout. Pull side approach with some power; peak Trackman exit velocity of 94 MPH.
Defensively: Low to the ground setup; fields out front, works through the ball, clean feet with short strides. Clean transfer; long arm swing, low 3/4 arm slot. INF - 75 MPH.
Pitching: Glove side setup, up-tempo side step into knee to belt leg lift with a slight shoulder turn; strides on-line with a downhill finish towards the 3rd base side. Fluid, moderate length arm action, standard 3/4 arm slot. FB: Peak velo of 82 MPH, while sitting 80-82 MPH. Fastball has some arm side run. CB: 64-66 MPH. Has late horizontal break with about 6 inches of depth. CH: 70-73 MPH. Changeup has good arm side run.
