Youngest player on the team but you couldn't tell by his pitching on the mound. Easy, loose arm action with an effortless delivery. Mid 80's FB with a 12/6 breaker in the upper 60's. Showed composure on the mound erasing a leadoff single with a double play ball and then striking out the next 2 hitters faced.

6-foot, 175-pound. Solid projectable in the box, Armstrong clocked an exit velocity of 87 mph. (64.5 mph bat speed average). (21.5 mph hand speed average). Started in a tall balanced stance with a controlled compact load, then used a toe tap stride. Bat speed was above average, used an upward swing plane and level finish. Found some barrels through his rounds. Base hit approach. In the infield, his best throw was recorded at 84 mph. Athletic fluid on the mound, showing good consistent arm speed he used a high ¾ arm angle and a long loose arm action. Tall-and-fall type pitcher who shows easy effort.
