Hudson Davenport: 3B/RHP, (2022) Richmond, MI. Eastern Michigan Commit, 6-foot-4, 225-pound. Smooth at the plate, the right-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 94 mph. Began in an open stance with a smooth load, then used a short stride. Bat speed was explosive, displayed a short upward swing plane and high finish. Found lots of barrels with a lot of loud contact. Gap to gap approach. While in the infield, recorded position velocities up to 82 mph.

Hit: (RHH) Begins in an open stance with a smooth load, then uses a short stride. Explosive bat speed. High finish, short upward swing. Gap to gap approach. 

Power: 94 mph exit velocity, average 88.23 mph. 69.24 mph bat speed average. 19.93 mph hand speed average.

A big physical prospect mashes at the plate getting his lower half engaged well turning on the ball well. Smooth swing bath at the plate producing thunder. Typical middle of the order bat that posted a 95 mph exit velocity. His swing translates towards game play. ame through in the clutch for Team Michigan. Trailing in the 8th inning, Davenport ripped a game tying RBI double into the LF corner on a 3-2 pitch. Impressive bat with a nice approach at the plate. Led the way offensively turning in quality at bats at the plate. Showed good discipline at the plate working the count. Drew a walk early on in the game before coming back with a RBI double on a 3-2 pitch in his final at bat of the game.

Hitting: At the plate a strong physical prospect sets up at the plate with a tall balanced stance. Gets his hands through the zone well. Ball absolutely jumps off his barrel, thunderous sounds off the bat. Impressive hit tool. 

Pitching: On the mound works at a quick pace arriving to his balance point throwing from a high 3/4 arm angle. Pitches to contact producing early outs. Utilizes a two pitch mix on the hill while commanding the zone. 12/6 break on his curve. 

Hitting: Strong framed prospect created good leverage on his swing at the plate. Using a wood bat made loud contact at times. Hits the ball where it's pitched showcasing the ability to drive the ball. 

Fielding: Shows a feel around the bag fielding out front with soft hands. Clean actions in the field. 

Hitting: At the plate begins with the bat over his back shoulder shows some motion in his bat prior to the load. Posted a 92 mph exit velocity on the day that translated to his round of BP. Shows lift in his swing. 

Fielding: In the field moves light on his feet, strong defensive 1B that has soft hands and agile hips. 

Pitching: On the mound works at a moderate pace throwing from a high 3/4 arm angle. Worked the zone well showing a fast arm. Fastball showed a cut action. Mixed in a sweeping action curve along with a fading change up down in the zone. 

Hitting: Strong physical presence shows fast hands at the plate while making solid contact. Small front leg lift and lets the barrel work. Hits the ball to all fields. Top hand release. Crushed a ball to the warning track for a double during game play.

Swing Mechanics: Sets up with bent knees at the plate using a front leg lift shifting his weight to his front side as he swings. 
Hit: Fast hands and the ability to square up the ball at the plate. He can swing the bat.
