Player Spotlight 

Jackson Isaacs: OF/LHP, (2024) Grand Rapids Christian, MI. 6-foot, 180-pound. Solid at the plate, the left-handed hitter's best exit velocity was 87 mph. (69.57 mph bat speed average). (21.56 mph hand speed average). Started in a balanced stance with a compact load, then used a toe tap. Has some bat speed, level swing plane and high finish. During the round showed some loud contact. Line drive approach. Solid from the outfield, his best throws to the bases were registered at 76 mph; had consistent hands, consistent footwork, and a natural exchange. Shows out front glove work. In the 60-yard dash, his time was 7.24. On the mound, has low ¾ angle. Shows decent effort in his delivery. Tall balance point with even shoulders. Lands square with an athletic finish. Threw his fastball 74-77 mph with a max of 78 mph; has some action and command around the zone. (Max spin 1998; Avg 1897). Shows late action on his tight curveball (67-68). (Max spin 1757; Avg 1757). His changeup showed deceiving action.

Power: 87 mph exit velocity, average 78.00 mph. 69.57 mph bat speed average. 21.56 mph hand speed average.

Defense:  (OF) Consistent hands, consistent footwork, natural exchange. Solid. Out front fielding mechanics. 

Arm: 76 mph outfield velocity.

Pitching:  Decent effort. low ¾ arm angle. Consistent balance point, even shoulders, lands square, an athletic finish.

During setup, has a compact load and uses a short stride. He created some loud contact and found a few barrels. Projectable In the infield, had consistent footwork and a natural exchange. Capable in the outfield, his best throw of the day was clocked at 77 mph; showed a natural lengthy exchange and consistent footwork. Fielded the ball out front with average movement laterally. In the 60-yard dash, he clocked a time of 7.41. Athletic on the mound, where he showed quick arm speed, also used a high ¾ arm angle with a short arm action. Tilt-and-topple type pitcher who shows some effort. Showed athletic balance point and even shoulders. Lands square with an athletic finish. Curveball (65-67 mph).Threw his fastball 74-76 mph and topped out at 77 mph; shows cutting action and glove side control with tight movement.

Jackson Isaacs: OF/LHP, (2024) Grand Rapids Christian, MI. 6-foot, 165-pound. During batting practice, Isaacs recorded an exit velocity of 84 mph. In the outfield, his throws to the bases were maxed out at 75 mph. During the event, recorded a 60 time of 7.43. On the mound, produced a fastball that came in at 71-73 mph with a max of 74 mph. Curveball (60-62 mph).

Hitting: At the plate uses a tall stances showing fast hands getting his barrel to the ball quick. Has a feel for the barrel driving balls off of his bat into the gap. 

Pitching: On the mound a left hand pitcher that displays command. Sets up on the 3B side of the rubber working at a moderate pace showing a letter high leg lift delivering from a high 3/4 arm angle. Attacks his hitters at times starting with the breaking ball and spotting up his fastball. Easy arm action with room for a velocity jump.
