Jakob Austin: OF/RHP, (2022) Rockford, MI. 6-foot-2, 210-pound. Solid during batting practice, the right-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 93 mph. (68.03 mph bat speed average). (20.98 mph hand speed average). Begins in a balanced stance with a compact load, then uses a leg kick. Level swing plane. Had some loud contact during the round. Line drive approach. Capable his best position velocity in the outfield was registered at 71 mph; shows consistent footwork, and a quick exchange. Glovework is shown one hand Showed a short arm action. In the 60-yard dash, he clocked a time of 7.17. On the mound, curveball (57-58 mph), changeup (63-64 mph). Produced a fastball that came in at 70-71 mph and topped out at 72 mph; (Max spin 1597; Avg 1468).

Jakob Austin: OF/RHP, (2022) Rockford, MI. 6-foot-2, 210-pound. Athletic at the plate, the right-handed hitter was ranked 2nd with an exit velocity of 94 mph. (65.94 mph bat speed average). (20.69 mph hand speed average). Started in an open tall stance with a smooth load, then used a controlled stride. Bat speed is above average, has a rotational swing plane and good extension on his finish. During his round he produced a lot of loud contact. Base hit approach. Solid from the outfield, he made throws to the infield at velocities up to 74 mph; has consistent feet, a fluid exchange, and sure hands. Showed a high ¾ slot with a longer arm action. Performed well in the 60-yard dash, clocking a speedy time of 6.87. On the mound, used a high ¾ angle. Tilt-and-topple type pitcher. Consistent balance point. Lands closed. Changeup (62-64 mph). Began in a balanced stance with a controlled smooth load, then used a controlled stride. Bat speed is explosive, shows an uphill swing plane and good extension on his finish. He found lots of barrels with a lot of loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Projectable recorded an outfield position velocity of 75 mph; shows fluid developing feet, a lengthy developing exchange, and firm hands. Fields the ball deep, movements laterally were average. Some accuracy to the bag, used a long arm action and an-over-the-top slot. In the 60-yard dash, his time was 7.09. Projectable on the mound, showing some arm speed he had a high ¾ arm angle and a long arm action. Tall-and-fall type pitcher and shows easy effort. In his delivery his balance point is tall with uphill shoulders. Displayed a falling off finish Threw his fastball 70-72 mph; throws a straight fastball with tilt and very consistent command. His 12/6 curveball (58-59) had some control and early action. Had command low in the zone and sinking action on his flat changeup (65-67).

Power: 89 mph exit velocity, average 82.60 mph.

Defense:  (OF) Firm hands, fluid developing footwork, lengthy developing exchange. Projectable.  Laterally, movements were average and fielded the ball deep. 

Arm: 75 mph outfield velocity. Long arm action, an-over-the-top slot, some accuracy. 

Speed: 7.09 (60-yard).

Pitching: Projectable. Tall-and-fall delivery, easy effort. High ¾ arm angle, some arm speed, long arm action. Tall balance point, uphill shoulders, a falling off finish.

FB: T72. 70-72 mph. (Max spin 1565;  Avg 1435). Very consistent accuracy, tilt, straight movement. 

CB: 58-59 mph. Some control, early action, 12/6 shape. 

CH: 65-67 mph. Low in the zone command, sinking action, flat movement.

Swing: Balanced set up at the plate keeping his hands quiet in a loaded position. Takes his hands straight to the ball during the swing. Worked the middle half of the field. 76 mph exit velocity. 
Fielding: Relaxed approach in the field, allows the ball to come fielding off his left leg, takes a couple steps and throws with a short arm action 70 mph.
