The results didn’t show for Spartan freshman Higgins, but he showed plenty of stuff during his Saturday start. Featuring a fastball up to 95, along with an 84-88 mph slider and occasional changeup, the projectable 6-foot-4, 195-pound right-hander looked to have a bright future in the Michigan State rotation and a rise up prospect follow lists.
