Trae Cassidy: C/SS, (2023) Detroit Catholic Central, MI. Ohio Commit, 5-foot-11, 190-pound. Athletic in the box, Cassidy's best exit velocity was 90 mph. (65.2 mph bat speed average). (18.5 mph hand speed average). Starts in an open stance with a smooth load, then uses a big leg kick. Had a level swing plane, efficient bat speed and level finish. He barreled up some balls with some loud contact. Up the middle line drive approach. Athletic in the infield, had a live arm with throws that topped out at 89 mph; had a quick natural exchange, athletic footwork, and soft hands. Movements laterally were athletic and he fields the ball out front. Behind the plate, he made throws to second at velocities up to 78 mph; had sure hands, athletic footwork, and a quick transfer. showed his ability to throw runners out with an efficient pop time of 1.94-1.98. Athletic setup with some flexibility. Used a quick arm action with an-over-the-top slot while showing consistent accuracy to the bag.  (Max spin ; Avg ).

(17.73 mph hand speed average). Started in an athletic stance with a controlled load, then used a big leg kick. Had a short simple swing plane and efficient bat speed. Had some loud contact during the round. Line drive approach. Solid while in the infield, recorded position velocities up to 84 mph; shows a clean exchange, sure hands, and athletic feet. Movements laterally were athletic. While catching, he recorded a position velocity of 75 mph during throw downs; had soft hands, consistent footwork, and a quick clean exchange. displayed his ability to control the run game with a pop time of 1.98-2.00. Has athletic setup. During the event, clocked a 60 time of 7.79.  (Max spin ; Avg ).

Began in a tall athletic stance with a controlled load, then used a toe tap. Bat speed is electric, shows an upward short swing plane and good extension on his finish. He found lots of barrels with tons of loud contact. Gap to gap approach. In the infield, had a live arm with throws that topped out at 87 mph. Behind the plate, throw downs to second topped out at 78 mph. While catching, he produced a position velocity of 78 mph during throw downs; Displayed next-level catching ability by boasting a 1.97-2.00 pop time.

Power: 92 mph exit velocity, average 81.46 mph. 61.48 mph bat speed average. 17.59 mph hand speed average.

Arm: 87 mph infield velocity. 78 mph catcher velocity.

Trae Cassidy: C/SS, (2023) Detroit Catholic Central, MI. 5-foot-11, 175-pound. Started in an athletic stance with a compact load, then used a short stride. Has average bat speed, simple swing plane and good extension on his finish. He Barreled up multiple balls with some loud contact. Gap to gap approach. While catching, consistently had pop times of 2.06-2.13, in the infield, his best throw was registered at 79 mph; has smooth feet, sure hands and a clean exchange. Best position velocity throwing to second was registered at 73 mph; showed a clean exchange and athletic footwork. Used a high ¾ slot with a quick arm action.
