Was extremely quick out the box while driving the baseball during his exit velo. During his batting practice drove the ball working the pull side with an uphill swing path. On the mound displayed a fast arm with a 85-86 mph fastball. Sharp breaking curve 65-67 mph and sinking changeup 73-75 mph .

In the field moves to the right to gain momentum going through the ball taking a step and throwing from a high 3/4 arm angle. Has good range. At the plate has a tall wide stance holding the bat over his shoulder. Moves his hands back and has a toe tap load. Has a tad bit long swing but makes very good contact often. When he squares it up he absolutely crushes it. On the mound works quickly throwing from a high 3/4 arm angle. 2/28/16 Helgeson has a projectable 6-foot-3, 170-pound frame. He throws from a high-3/4 arm slot with a long arm action and quick arm speed. He has a quick tempo on the mound and strides slightly across his body. His fastball sat 77-80 mph and had late sink. His changeup sat 62-64 mph with sink. His curveball sat 57-60 mph with 11/5 break and showed depth. He slowed his arm down with both of his off speed pitches. He did well with keeping his front shoulder close until he delivered the pitch. He is a good, young prospect to follow.

On the mound, he throws from a high-3/4 arm slot. His fastball sat 77-79 mph with good downhill plane. His changeup had fade to it at 66-67 mph and was thrown with good arm speed.
