2/16/15 - Loida is a strong 5-foot-10 170-pound SS/RHP in the 2018 class, offensively, short stride, smooth rhythm, quick hands, level plane through the ball, hits mostly middle-to-pull, 4.48 home-to-first, 83 mph exit velo, at shortstop, soft hands, over-the-top release, long arm swing, mostly accurate throws a 73 mph across the diamond. On the mound, Wide-shouldered frame with strong legs and quick arm speed. Loida throws from a conventional over-the-top release and with some effort. Long arm circle, stays inline down the mound, touched 80 mph with fastball, works at 74-78 mph, slight run, 12-to-6 shape curveball, 62-63 mph, 62-65 mph change-up slight arm side release,player to follow in the 2018 class at state power Valle Catholic
