Rising one spot after a productive spring with one of the state’s top high school programs is LHP Dane Bjorn (Lindbergh, 2023; Tennessee commit). The 6-foot-2, 190-pound southpaw anchored the Flyers’ staff en route to a state playoff appearance, punching out 104 batters over 61 ⅔ innings with a 1.70 ERA. He’ll pump his fastball into the upper-80s and spin a sharp slurvey-type breaking ball as a compliment, mixing in a changeup as well to round out a sound three-pitch mix. Bjorn consistently performed in clutch situations this spring and was one of Missouri’s most dominant arms as a result.

2/17/20

Positional Profile: LHP/OF High follow arm in his class; a name to know.
Body: 5-foot-11, 152-pounds. Lean and still developing with some wiry strength. Lots of room to add size and strength.
Defense: Above average actions in the field coming through the ball with clean and confident actions.
Arm: Left-Handed   OF - 86 mph. Clean, loose, and fluid arm action. Coming through with advanced arm speed and some whippyness. Above average arm strength.
HitLeft-Handed Open, back-leg heavy and quiet stance. Short leg kick and slight arm bar in the load.  Elevated swing path and a high finish.
Power: 88 mph exit velocity in BP. Found nearly all barrels in BP.
Run: 4.75 runner home-to-first.

DeliveryWorks exclusively out of the stretch, drop/drive type delivery, impressive ability to incorporate lower half, strong front side, works on line with target, lands square, smooth rhythm throughout, confident on the mound, easy effort.
Arm ActionLeft-Handed
FBT84, 80-84 mph. Four-seam type, flashed slight arm-side run, strikes on both sides of the plate, more velocity to come.
CB: 68-70 mph. 1/7 shape, late break, advanced actions, potential swing-and-miss offering.
CH: 72-73 mph. Near fastball arm speed, advanced actions, feel for pitch.
