INF/RHP Mason Beno (Parkway West, 2024) showed real two-way intrigue at this event, looking the part on both sides of the ball. Beno’s left-handed stroke repeated line drive contact across the yard and the ease in which he operates suggests there’s more untapped juice in his bat. He’s always looked the part defensively too and was up to 89 mph across the diamond with clean, sure-handed actions. Beno was the first arm to toe the rubber during gameplay and didn’t disappoint, pumping his fastball up to 88 mph with a firm 74-76 mph tightly spun slider that averaged 2,469 RPM.

Mason Beno: SS/RHP, (2024) Parkway West, MO. 5-foot-9, 145-pound lanky frame. In the box, the left-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 80 mph. Began in an open stance with a low load, then used a long stride just before his swing. Bat speed was raw, showed short swing plane and level finish. He Barreled up multiple balls with loud contact. Line drive approach. Above average while in the infield, made throws up to 77 mph; had soft hands, a clean exchange and rhythmic footwork. Consistent accuracy to the bases, used a short arm action with an-over-the-top slot. In the 60-yard dash, recorded a time of 7.6. Projectable on the mound, showing good arm speed he used a quick arm action with a high ¾ arm angle. Feel type pitcher who uses some effort. Has in line shoulder with athletic balance point. Lands soft with an athletic finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 77-79 mph and topped out at 80 mph; has a consistent control that shows straight movement. Has a 2/8 curveball (70-71) that showed in the zone command and tight action. His changeup (73-75) shows fading action.
