 Body: 6-foot, 194-pounds. Compact frame.
 Defense: Attacks the baseball, steady hands, feet work in rhythm at times, clean crow-hop to release.
Arm: LH. OF - 81 mph. Short arm action, high 3/4 slot.
Hit: LHH. Crouched setup, active pre-pitch wiggle, quick leg kick trigger. Quick hands, short and level path, line drive approach, hits in rhythm.
Power: 73 mph exit velocity from the tee.
Run: 6.96 runner in the 60. 


Clancy is a big and physical 6-foot and 190-pound left-handed hitting outfielder from St. Louis’ Vianney HS. He graduates in their 2021 class. At the event, he ran a 7.07 second 60, which is consistent with previous events. During batting practice, Clancy starts in an athletic stance, smooth load with hands, in line stride, aggressive swing with a quick bat, showed hard contact throughout round and sprayed balls to all fields. Defensively in the outfield, attacks the baseball, clean exchanges, momentum towards target, positional velo of 78 mph, mostly accurate throws.


Clancy is a strong and well built 6-foot, 182-pound, left-handed hitting outfield prospect from St. John Vianney HS in St. Louis. At the event, he ran a 7.20 second 60 and 4.44 home-to-first. At the plate, 85 mph exit velocity, starts in an athletic position, leg lift, pre-pitch rhythm to body, level bat path, remains balanced throughout swing, showed contact primarily to the middle of the field during his round. Defensively, aggressive to the baseball, clean transfers, shorter arm action, positional velo of 77 mph, mostly accurate throws.

10/20/18 – Clancy has a large frame and athletic build at 6-foot, 180-pounds and is a left-handed hitting outfielder and LHP in Missouri’s 2021 recruiting class. At the event he ran a 7.07 second 60 yard dash, 4.44 home-to-first and posted an exit velocity of 82 mph. During hitting evaluations, simple weight shift to load, shorter inline stride, minimal head movement, smooth swing, high finish with hands, showed some pop to right field during batting practice. Defensively in the outfield, Clancy has fluid footwork, momentum towards target, three-quarter arm slot, positional velocity of 73 mph, mostly accurate throws. On the mound, Clancy throws with regular effort, simple compact delivery, downhill tilt, accelerates down the mound, three-quarter release. Fastball is 65-72 mph, occasional run, thrown for strikes, curveball is 54 -59 mph (at the event), thrown for a high percentage of strikes, 10-to-4 shape, gradual action, changeup is 59-60 mph, fading action.

10/22/17 - Clancy is a 5-foot-11 155-pound left handed hitting outfielder and left-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2020 class.  He ran a 7.50 60 and a 4.78 home to first.  He has a 70 mph exit velocity. At the plate, balanced stance, short in line stride, hands work inside the ball, short path to contact, middle to opposite  field line drives, feel for the barrel, doubled to right center field and singled through the right side during game action.  In the outfield, 70 mph positional velocity, high three quarters release, fluid glove to hand exchange in sync with fluid footwork, works behind the ball, mostly accurate throws. On the mound, Clancy throws with regular effort from an over the top release, slender frame, controlled throughout delivery, throw mostly fastball/curveball mix, fastball at 66-63 mph, breaking ball has 12-to-6 action, 60-61 mph.
