Fall Underclass Games: 2021 Pitchers Analysis

For the fifth year, Prep Baseball Report - Missouri/Kansas held the Fall Underclass Games in Manhattan, Kansas at Kansas State University.  Nearly 50 players from Missouri and Kansas participated in the 2021 and 2020 classes.

Players can now updated their profiles with a ProspectPlus subscription, while scouts and recruiters can add players on the ScoutPlus dashboard.

Player profiles have been updated with profile picture, running times, velocities, and videos.  Today will take a closer look at the pitchers in the 2021 class from the event. Players are listed in alphabetical order below.

Class of 2021 Pitchers

Scott Adams OF / RHP / Maize , KS / 2021

Adams is a 5-1foot-10 165-pound right-handed pitcher in Kansas’ 2021 class. Adams has an over the top release, throws with regular effort, smooth tempo, creates direction towards the plate as he gets down the mound, fastball at 69-71 mph, some on a down hill plane, breaking ball has gradual 11-to-5 action, 64-66 mph. 

Brady Beverman 3B / RHP / Olathe South, KS / 2021

Beverman is a 5-foot-11 180-pound right-handed pitcher in Kansas’ 2021 class. Beverman showed the ability to throw strikes with three pitches, fluid tempo in delivery, throws with some effort, aggressive down the mound, high three quarter arm slot, fastball at 76-80 mph, occasional late run, mostly at bottom of zone, curveball has downward 12-to-6 action, sharp at times, change up at 66-69, slight arm side release, mixes pitches well, fields position.

Sam Bryan RHP / OF / Kirkwood, MO / 2021

Bryan is a 5-fooot-10 150pound right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2021 class. Bryan has a long and lean frame, controlled delivery, in line and accelerated down the mound, throws slightly across body, loose high three quarters arm slot, fastball jumps out of hand, 77-83 mph, slight running action, slurve-type action on breaking ball, gradual bite, looks to be good pitch as he continues to develop, 69-70 mph. 

Benjamin Bryan C / RHP / Blue Springs South, MO / 2021

Bryan is a 6-foot 202-pound right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2021 class. Bryan has a high three quarters arm slot, in line stride, controlled leg lift, athletic finish, fastball at 65-70 mph, curveball at 55-6=56-mph, 12-to-6 action, change up at 54-55 mph, slight sink. 

Ty Campbell C / 2B / Blue Springs South, MO / 2021

Campbell is a 5-foot-10 150-pound right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2021 class. Campbell has a lean frame, smooth and repeatable delivery, arm works, creates in line direction down the mound, over the top release, fastball at 69-73 mph, curveball has slight 12-to-6 break, throws strikes, most contact produced ground balls during game action.

Riley Clancy OF / LHP / St. John Vianney, MO / 2021

Clancy is a 5-foot-11 155-pound left-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2021 class. Clancy throws with regular effort from an over the top release, slender frame, controlled throughout delivery, throw mostly fastball/curveball mix, fastball at 66-63 mph, breaking ball has 12-to-6 action, 60-61 mph. 

Hayden Dyer C / RHP / Gardner Edgerton, KS / 2021

Dyer is a 5-foot-10 150-pound right-handed pitcher in Kansas’ 2021 class. Dyer comes from a high three-quarters arm slot, short arm circle, controlled simple delivery, repeatable, in line stride, fastball at 73-76 mph, slight cutting action, curveball sharp at times, 12-to-6 action, 66-67 mph, threw high number of strikes.

Michael Infranca LHP / 1B / Blue Springs , MO / 2021

Infranca is a 5-foot-8 165-pound left-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2021 class. Infranca throws with some effort, controlled lift, accelerates down the mound, hides ball well, strike thrower, works with quick tempo between pitches, challenges hitters, fastball at 72-74 mph, slight arm side run, 1-to-7 shape on breaking ball, 61-63 mph, change up at 68-69 mph, slight sinking action.

Weston Madden RHP / OF / Desoto, KS / 2021

Madden is a 6-foot 155-pound right-handed pitcher in Kansas’ 2021 class.  Madden has an athletic delivery, throws with regular effort, repeats, throws a high number of strikes, works downhill, fastball 73-77 mph, works to both sides of the plate, 11-to-5 breaking ball, flashes depth and sharpness, change up at 63-64 mph, near fastball arm speed.

Bradley Poletis OF / RHP / Rockhurst, MO / 2021

Poletis is a 5-foot-10 165-pound right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2021 class. Poletis comes from an over the top arm slot, short arm circle, strides slightly open, arm works, controlled tempo, fastball at 74-76 mph, occasional late two-seam action, breaking ball has 10-to-5 slider action, flashes depth, 68-69 mph, change up at 70-72 mph, near fastball arm speed, forced weak contact during game action, high number of strikes.

Brady Rhoden LHP / 1B / Lees Summit West , MO / 2021

Rhoden is a 6-foot-2 180-pound left-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2021 class. Rhoden has a clean delivery, smooth tempo, over the top release, throws strikes to both sides of the plate, repeats simple delivery, fastball 70-72 mph, slight running action, breaking ball has 1-to-7 shape, gradual late action, 68-69 mph.

Caleb Sanders RHP / C / Smithville, MO / 2021

Sanders is a 5-foot-10 145-pound right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2021 class.  Sanders has a smooth and repeatable delivery, threw strikes with fastball and curveball, loose over the top arm slot, arm works, occasional downhill tilt, fastball at 72-75 mph, some with late run, curveball at 62-65 mph, 12-to-6 action, sharp and late action, has feel.
