Michael Infranca: LHP/1B, (2021) Blue Springs, MO. 5-foot-10, 175-pound sturdy frame. Fluid on the mound, has good arm speed with an over-the-top arm angle. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who uses some effort. In his delivery his balance point is tall with even shoulders. Lands square with an upright finish. Threw his fastball 75-76 mph; has running action. He has some action on his changeup (74-74). He showed gradual action and in the zone control on his 11/5 curveball (66-67).

At the plate, balanced stance, hands manipulate the bat, loose wrists in swing, level path, stays under control, works inside the ball.  At first base, fluid actions, clean transfer, over the top release, feet create momentum with quick shuffle after catch, 73 mph positional velocity, accurate throws. 6/12/18 - Infranca is a sturdy 5-foot-9 165-pound left-handed hitting first baseman in Missouri’s 2021 class.  He ran a 7.80 60 and a 4.83 home to first.  He has an 82 mph exit velocity.  At the plate, balanced and slightly crouched, leg kick, slightly closed stride, aggressive bat speed, occasional pull side power, consistent line drives gap to gap during batting practice.  On the infield, 76 mph positional velocity, quick catch and throw, feet create directional momentum during transfer, mostly accurate throws, fluid and controlled, soft hands. On the mound, Infranca comes from a high three quarters arm slot, increased tempo as he works in line down the mound, smooth leg lift, throws against front side and lands in athletic position, fastball at 73-76 mph, occasional arm side run, breaking ball at 64-67 mph, 2-to-8 shape, some with sharp bite, will work on the hand of a right-handed hitter with occasional back door pitch, change up at 69-70 mph, arm side sink, showed feel for all pitches.

1/15/18 - Infranca is a 5-foot-8 150-pound left-handed hitting first baseman and left-handed pitcher in Kansas’ 2021 class.  He ran a 4.90 home to first and has a 77 mph exit velocity. At the plate, balanced set up, smooth load into back side, minimal hand load, level path, swing creates line drives gap to gap.  On the infield, 67 mph positional velocity, high three quarters arm slot, feet create momentum to throw, clean glove to hand transfer, plays though the ball.  On the mound, Infranca acclerates down the mound after a controlled leg lift, repeats delivery, over the top release, in line stride, strike thrower, fastball at 68-74 mph, works down in the zone, breaking ball has 12-to-6 shape, lands for a strike, change up has slight sink 61-63 mph, throws with near fastball arm speed.

10/22/17 - Infranca is a 5-foot-8 165-pound left-handed hitting first baseman and left-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2021 class.  He ran a 810 60 and a 5.26 home to first.  He has a 75 mph exit velocity. At the plate, starts in a wide base, small controlled leg lift, loads against back side, level path, hands work inside the ball, mostly middle to opposite field contact during batting practice.  At first base, 69 mph positional velocity, quick catch and throw, three quarters arm slot, aggressive to the ball, clean glove to hand transfer, accurate throws. On the mound, Infranca throws with some effort, controlled lift, accelerates down the mound, hides ball well, strike thrower, works with quick tempo between pitches, challenges hitters, fastball at 72-74 mph, slight arm side run, 1-to-7 shape on breaking ball, 61-63 mph, change up at 68-69 mph, slight sinking action.
