8/5/15 - Cooley is a 5-foot-9 189-pound left-handed hitting catcher. Cooley runs a 7.40 and had an 88 mph exit velo, one of top left-handed exit velos of the event, hit line drives to pull side during batting practice, open stance, loose hands, quick bat, level path, power to pull gap.  Behind the plate, aggressive thrower, quick feet and release, clean transfer, 1.99 to 2.18 pop times, one to quickest pop times of the day, 79 mph positional velo.
2/16/15 - Cooley is a left-hand hitting catcher that attends Staley HS in Kansas City, MO. Class of 2016, 5-foot-10, 185-pound frame. Open set-up at the plate, leg kick, minimal hand load, short path to the ball, loose hands, backside fires through with hands, extension through the baseball, maintains balance. Very aggressive swing with bat speed and some lift. Gap-to-gap approach. Exit velocity 89 mph, ran a 4.33 home-to-first. Behind the plate showed simple footwork, clean exchanges. Short, high three-quarters arm action, arm works, pop time 2.01, 77 mph throwing velocity. Impressive class of 2016 left-hand hitting catching prospect that swings the bat with authority.
6/17/14 – Cooley is a 5-foot-9 175-pound left-handed hitting catcher.  Cooley has a fluid exchange with pop times between 1.96 and 2.14, with a 76 MPH positional velo.  He has good feet and was able show good blocking skills in the scrimmage.  Offensively, Cooley has a small leg lift to start his swing and a level bat path through extension.  He has the ability to drive the ball to both gaps.  Cooley has an exit velocity of 87 MPH, he runs a 4.47 home-to-first and a 7.52 60.  
1/4/14 - The 5-foot-9, 165-pound Cooley is a left-hand hitting catcher.  During bullpens he showed advanced receiving skills. He had the top throwing velocity of all of the catchers at 77 mph with a 2.16 pop time showing quick feet and a short over-the-top throwing motion.  At the plate he has a tall set-up and slightly open stance.  He strides slightly closed with a mini-leg kick and has a smooth load.  Cooley has loose hands and good balance throughout his swing.  His swing is built to deliver gap-to-gap line drives.  His top exit velocity was 84 mph.
