Dylan Fontan: St. Patrick Catholic High School, Class of 2020; 6-foot-3, 210-pound projectable frame; RHP/1B. Began in crouched stance, had a small load and used a short stride to start his swing. Shows above average bat speed and a flat swing plane. Used a ¾ slot with a loose arm action. he showed a high ¾ arm angle and quick arm speed to the plate. He is a tall-and-fall type pitcher. had plus action on his sinking curveball.
7/24/18 Currently ranked No. 34 in Mississippi’s 2020 class. Projectable 6-foot-2, 190-pound frame. Right-handed pitcher throwing from high-¾ release, with solid balance, and easy effort in delivery. Fluid rhythm with deception in delivery, level shoulders, in-line direction and finishes athletically off to first base side. Fastball was commanded around the zone at 81-84 mph. Breaking ball showed tightness with depth and 11/5-shape at 69-72 mph. Change up was thrown with fastball arm speed and showed slight fading action at 69-70 mph. Right-handed hitter starting from tall and stacked setup with hands starting at shoulder height. Simple rhythm and load working into balanced hitting position. Short path with loose, uphill finish that produced an exit velocity 86 mph. Defender that worked through ball athletically with soft hands and smooth footwork. Clean midline exchange working into short, stiff high-3/4 release posting a positional velocity of 77 mph. Ran a 7.51 60-yard dash.
