2/19/2023 (Oak Grove, 2025) was a Future Games participant this past summer though he was dealing with some slight arm soreness. On Saturday at MGM Park in Biloxi, the sophomore showed everyone the reason for the invite to Atlanta. Thompson was 85-86 mph (T87) with late life. The breaking ball is what sets him apart though as the sharp action was back and up to 2600 spin rate. Also serving as the teams shortstop, Thompson serves as a solid dual threat prospect.
