Evans, the top-ranked outfielder and No. 9-ranked player coming out of Nebraska in 2019, was one of the top position players at Parkland’s Scout Day back in September. The 6-foot-2, 195-pounder has a strong and athletic body and flashed some high-level tools across the board, running a 6.7-second 60-yard dash and topping out at 97 mph from the outfield with a plusarm arm with good accuracy and carry. He showed natural outfield instincts, moved well and profiles as an above-average defender. At the plate, the right-handed hitter demonstrates an athletic approach, with balance throughout contact and a quick, compact swing. He drives the ball to all fields, consistently staying on the barrel, and the ball jumps off his bat with plus raw power (97.3 mph max exit velocity, with a max distance of 379 feet off the bat in BP).

5/20/18

Nebraska Elite 506-foot-1, 200 pound outfielder ran a 6.82 60 yard spring. Creighton commit. Athletic physical build with present strength. Narrow base, spins through contact, bat has pop, best contact during round of BP to the right center gap when he gets extended. Posted an 92 mph exit velocity off a tee. Went 1-3 in game action with a walk. Topped out at 88 mph from the outfield. Clean actions, quick transfers, throws were online to home plate.

2017 PBR Future Games- Uncommitted 6-foot-1, 190-pound right-handed hitting outfielder. Physical player with lean present strength. 7.23 runner. Easy weight into back leg, shoulder load, slight lift through contact, above avg. pop in bat, works gap to gap, 90 mph exit velocity. Works through ball, quick release, athletic powerful actions, throws are online with solid carry and accuracy, 87 mph arm from outfield.

2/20/17- 6-foot, 190-pound shortstop ran a 5.12 40-yard sprint. Physical build, present strength in upper half. Slightly crouched square stance, rhythmic leg kick trigger, low hand set, loose uphill barrel path. Shows gap power when timing is right. Posted an exit velocity of 87 mph off a tee. Advanced actions in both the infield and outfield. Above avg. arm for his age. Strong follow for the 2019 class in Nebraska.

5/22/16- 6-foot, 170-pound right-handed hitting shortstop that ran a 7.56 60 yard sprint. Mature approach and actions for a 2019 graduate. Balanced stance with compact swing plane with some lift. Hands stay inside the baseball with good pop. In the field is fundamentally sound with advanced footwork and soft hands. Quick release from a variety of arm slots and 79 mph velocity across the infield. Good actions in the outfield with accurate online throws to the catcher from a high ¾ arm slot. Potential to be one of the top 2019 prospects in Nebraska as he continues to develop.

1/18/16 - Evans is an athletic 6-foot 170-pound right-handed hitting shortstop in Nebraska’s 2019 class.  He got down the line in 4.47-seconds and has an exit velo of 79 mph.  Evans has an aggressive swing, no wasted movement in load, starts in balanced position at the plate, short stride, quick hands, swing produced line drives to the middle/pull side of cage. On the infield, 79 mph positional velo, athletic footwork with soft hands, accurate throw with momentum through the catch, athletic actions, clean arm action.
