8/29/20

Body: 5-foot-11, 155 pounds. Lean, athletic build. Improved physicality over the past year with more to come. Some present twitch.
Defense: IF. Competent actions through the ball. Gets around the ball and presents glove well. Ranges well to both sides with feel for the backhand play. Physical development has seen his defensive play improve.
Arm: RH. 71 mph. Short, over-the-top arm action. Accurate. Some carry when he gets his body in that direction.
Hit: RHH. Athletic set up. Toe tap load with significant weight shift to back side. Natural lift through the zone. Produced line drives once he got his timing. Stayed mostly middle of the yard. Some power potential to the pull side.
Power: 84 mph Exit Velocity via TrackMan
Run: 7.14 Laser Timed 60

8/17/19

Small, athletic frame with room for added weight and strength as he matures. Israel was light on his feet and showed powerful strides. in two rounds of batting practice, he did not get cheated, swinging above his present stature. Once he found his rhythm, he made consistent solid contact. His natural feel for the barrel shows the makings of a future table-setter. He displayed an athleticism during his infield evaluation, with capable footwork and developing arm strength.  When he is able to engage the strength in his lower half, both his defensive as well as offensive skill play up. Strength increases will play a huge part in accommodating his present skill set to provide next level playability.

Showed a high ability to pitch. Slight in stature at the moment, Andrew possesses good genes as his older brother was a standout at Bishop Gorman and SDSU signee. Andrew has an attacking approach and pounded the zone with 4 pitches. FB had a range of 61-64 with good in and out location. Secondary pitches were few, CB-51 and CH-57 but were effective and thrown for strikes.
