Presently, his skills lend better to second or third base. On the mound, he is a 3 pitch mix type with progressing stuff. Carruthers is consistently down in the zone, demonstrating a controlled repeatable delivery that will allow him to get outs straight away. In the box, he sets up wide, centered and balanced. He has easy hands with a naturally lofted swing and strength in his barrel.
