10-12-2018: 6-foot-1, 170, Powell has a smaller frame with limited projection. He maintains an up tempo delivery with a short stride that allows him to create down plane. He throws from a high ¾ slot with a quick arm and some effort. He sat 87-88 with his fastball touching 89. He threw a hard slider at 80-81 with occasional late action. His changeup was 78-81 with fading sink. He maintained velocity throughout the outing as well as from the stretch. He showed athleticism in quick moves to bases as well as fielding his positon off the mound. Powell was extremely competitive on the mound with noticeable emotion in perceived big situations.
