Medium frame, young body, athletic and projectable. Geis recorded a laser timed 60-yard dash of 7.58. He had a medium stride with a strong first step. He posted an 82 mph exit velocity followed by two good rounds of BP. He shows a gap approach, spraying the ball around the field with a compact line drive swing. During the game he was able to get to the pull side, keeping his barrel through the zone for consistent contact. In his infield skill evaluation, Geis recorded a positional velocity of 77 MPH. He has arm strength that carried through the ball and mechanics are on point. He made strong reads off the bat, funneling the ball with quick hands and strong footwork.
Athletic two way player showed well at the state games. On the mound Geis displayed a 3-pitch mix. A solid delivery and short/quick arm action led to life on fast ball working 76-78 topping at 79. Geis displayed feel for the changeup at 67-68 along with a curve ball 64-65. Geis attacked the zone showing ability of command and putting hitters in an immediate hole.

10/21/18 - Solid, 5-10, 150, Geis is high-waisted with an athletic build. He has sustained proportional development, providing present strength. Geis completed the 60 yard dash and offensive portion of the ID only due to his re-entry throwing program. In the box, he is balanced with knees slightly knocked in. He loads primarily with his lower half as he presets on his backside, transferring his weight aggressively with a leg kick stride. He stays behind the ball at impact, providing strength to his barrel and makes consistent hard contact with some natural loft to his swing.
12/21/18 - 5-foot-11, 150. High waisted, Geis is an athletically built and easily projectable. He has solid infield actions with a good feel for throws from multiple angles. He has enough arm to throw from the six-hole and feel for touch throws on the run and feeding double plays. He plays confidently with soft hands fielding between his feet and picks skills on the run. Geis is an aggressive hitter. He swings with manageable aggression and length, impacting the ball with a combination of strength and bat speed from a backside approach. He can easily improve impact with a more efficient lower half and weight transfer. Geis’s athleticism accompanied by arm strength and actions, put him at the front of his class in Northern Nevada.
