Lanky 6-foot-1, 185-pound outfielder, ran a 7.39/60. Offensively - loose, fluid swing, brings bat through the strike zone on a level path, full extension with slight upper cut and an exit velocity of 79 MPH, keeps hands inside ball, repeatable motion, some evidence of lower body engagement, further use of counter rotation between upper and lower torso will power. Defensively - fundamental footwork, comfortable transfer to throwing hand, accurate arm with a velocity of 81 MPH.
WNY Travel Workout (January 16, 2017)
Tamburri has a long, lean frame at 6-foot-2, 165 pounds. Recorded a time of 4.3 seconds from home to first base. Offensively- Starts with a wide base in an open stance. Body is upright with hands just above shoulder height. Has a leg kick that brings front foot towards back leg and then carries far forward, landing square. Hands load backward during leg kick. Body weight starts to transfer forward before hips become rotational. Hands get a little away from body before going forward. Hands finish directly after contact is made, limiting extension. Had an exit velocity of 82 MPH off the tee. Defensively- Approaches ball with short, choppy steps. Fields ball in middle of his body. Uses a strong crow hop to transition into throw. Short arm action with over the top arm slot. Produced throws of 82 MPH from the outfield.
