Physical: Young, wiry frame at 6-foot-2, 160-pounds with upside. 7.68 runner in the 60.
Offensively: LHH. Even, slightly bent stance, as the trigger works quietly. Utilized a simple toe-tap stride to initiate his swing through a flat, handsy path into the hitting zone. Maintained direction back over the middle, up to an 81MPH exit velo and 67% sweet spot. Handles both corners of the plate for a line-drive approach. More strength to come.
Defensively: Primary OF generates natural reads off the bat with deep angles behind the ball. Showed a soft funnel inwards and grabbed an accurate 74MPH arm-strength out of a whippy H ¾ slot. Chance to play a corner spot.
6/20/23
Physical: 6-2, 160 pounds; Long, lean build. 7.66 runner in the 60. Offensively: LHH. Even setup, with feet wide spread; has a pre-pitch bat waggle. Short take back with the hands with an up and down stride for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing a limited effort from the legs. Showed a direct swing path with a two handed finish. More line drives than flyballs and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 79 MPH via Trackman. Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; walks into ready position while showing choppy feet. Hands are off to the side with a clean transfer. Moderate arm circle from a standard 3/4 arm slot. OF - 77 MPH. Pitching: Uses a glove side setup while using a side step. Belt high leg drive with a slight lean over the belt. Has a long stride landing inline with the plate. Moderate arm swing while showing some scap load; standard 3/4 slot. Spins off 3B side with finish. FB: Peak velo of 76 MPH, while sitting 72-75 MPH; commands both sides. CB: 67-69 MPH; spots and expands.

Short take back with the hands with an up and down stride for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an average effort from the legs. Showed a short swing path with a two handed finish. More line drives than flyballs and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 66 MPH via Trackman. Feel for the barrel with a 75% on plane and a through the middle approach. Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; walks into ready position while showing active feet. Hands are off to the side with a seamless transfer. Moderate arm circle from a high 3/4 arm slot. OF - 72 MPH. quality reads with ability to track it down. Pitching: Uses a glove side setup while using a side step. Belt high leg drive with a slight lean over the belt. Has a moderate stride while landing slightly closed. Short take back while showing no restrictions; standard 3/4 slot. Square to the plate with finish. FB: Peak velo of 69 MPH. CB: Slurve like action with above average movement for his age.
7/05/22
Physical: 5-foot-11, 135 pounds; Lean, long build. 7.62 runner in the 60. Offensively: LHH. Even setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; bat positioned at a 45 degree angle. Short take back with the hands with a heel lift for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an average effort from the legs. Showed a direct swing path with a two handed finish. More groundballs than line drives and flyballs with a peak exit velocity of 74 MPH via Trackman. Defensively: Starts with a balanced setup; walks into ready position while being aggressive. Hands work through the ball with a clean transfer. Short take back from a standard 3/4 arm slot. OF - 69 MPH. Pitching: Uses a glove side setup while using an angled drop step. Belt high leg drive with shoulders outside the hips. Has a short stride while landing slightly closed. Short take back while showing some scap load; low 3/4 slot. Square to the plate with finish. FB: Peak velo of 68 MPH, while sitting 65-67 MPH; commands both sides. SL: 57-60 MPH; lateral action. Displayed good feel for the slider and was able to land it for strikes.
3/12/22
Physical: Long, wiry 5-foot-11, 135lb frame. 8.18 runner in the 60.
Offensively: LHH. Narrow, comfortable setup with loose hands to start. Utilized a short lift and replace stride to initiate the swing through a flat, direct path towards a two-handed finish. Found success towards the middle of the field with a chance to block off the front side more.
Defensively: The outfielder displayed moderate posture, bending from the upper-half while setting up on time. Fielded off his right, released out of a shorter H ¾ slot (66 mph arm-strength).
Pitching: LHP - The southpaw started off the middle of the rubber; some crossfire at times, arm works up on time. Direct release to the mitt, landing a 64-66 mph FB for strikes. Mixed a developing mid-50’s CB with sweep, adding low 60’s CH, too.
