WNY ASG (September 23, 2018)
Athletic, slender build with projectable frame. 6-foot-3, 175-pounds. Ran a 7.44 60 yard dash. Offensively – Wide, balanced set-up with feet square to the pitcher. Shifts weight back before getting into toe-tap for his load. Smooth, level swing with quick wrists. Hands stay inside of the ball and produce consistent line drive contact. Projects for more power with added strength. Low effort hitting actions with a high finish. Exit velocity was 83 MPH. Defensively – Clean footwork around the bag at 1B. Receives the ball in a wide, athletic base. Funnels ball quickly in the center of his body. Long, loose arm action. Low ¾ release point on throws. Keeps momentum going after release. Arm strength was 71 MPH.
June 25-27, 2018 (NYS Games)
60 Yard Dash: 7.53
Exit Velocity:
88
Positional Arm:
72

Tall lean body frame standing 6-foot-2, 175-pounds with room to grow. Defensively, stays behind the ball at the corner, quick glove to hand transfer, long arm, throws from a low 3/4 arm action, In the box, he uses a wide stance, minimal load and lower body rotation, path is longer to the ball, mostly level through contact with an 88 mph exit velocity, full extension with high finish.
Preseason - West (February 19, 2018)
Zurat is a 6-foot-2 175-pound right handed corner infielder with a tall, athletic frame. He ran a 7.51 60. Offensively- Sets up with a little further than shoulder width apart, slight bend in the knee. Hands up near the shoulder. Two toe tap load, drives hands through the ball, uses all fields; high two handed finish. Very quiet approach with some loud results. 81 MPH exit velocity. Defensively- Active feet, moves to the ball well. Breaks down and funnels to make an easy throw to target. Throws from a low 3/4 arm slot with an arm strength of 70 MPH. Continued improvement with footwork and agility around the bag will go a long way in his progression.
Campus Series- Buffalo (July 5, 2017)
Zuart stands in at 6-foot-2, 165-pounds with a tall, strong athletic frame. Ran a 4.43 home to first, tying his best mark recorded in July 2016. Offensively- Righty sets up square to the pitcher in a wide stance with his feet outside shoulder width. Shows a slight knee bend with an upright torso holding the back above the back shoulder using little pre-pitch bat movement. On pitch, his trigger is a quick toe tap to stride forward while his hands move back into his hitting position. Utilizes good lower body rotation clearing his hips and using his whole-body frame in the process of the swing. Shows quick hands to the hitting zone with an upward lift barrel path throughout into a high two-handed finish. Demonstrated good plate coverage and line drive ability with power potential up the middle and to the pull side. Recorded an exit velocity of 81 MPH, just shy of his recorded best 84 MPH set in February 2017. Defensively- Good footwork and approach to the baseball. Moves well off the bag and can get into a proper fielding position to make the play. Some stiffness to his actions but appears more comfortable at 1B. Funnels the ball into chest clean with a quick transition into the throwing position. Athletic footwork. Recorded a positional arm velocity of 72 MPH, just shy of his previous best 74 MPH set in February 2017.
Preseason All-State (February 20, 2017)
Zurat stands at 6-foot-2, 160 pounds. Had a 60 yard dash time of 7.55 seconds, just below previously low of 7.52 seconds. Offensively- Begins with feet wider than shoulders and legs straight with an open stance. Hands begin at back shoulder with bat laid flat on shoulder. Uses a small, quick leg kick that lands even as hands load backwards slightly. Barrel is short to ball with strong extension through contact. Swing plane is slightly uphill. Weight transfers forward before hips rotate during the swing. High, two handed finish above front shoulder. Had an exit velocity of 84 MPH off of the tee, an 8 MPH improvement over personal best in July 2016. Defensively- Approaches the ball with long, smooth strides. Fields ball with feet wide and bent at the knees. Fields ball with hands well in front of his body. Used a shuffle to generate momentum on throws. Very low 3/4 arm slot with slingshot action on throws of 74 MPH across the infield, well above previous high of 67 MPH.
Western NY Prospect Preview (July 5, 2016)
Cameron is a 6-foot, 150 pound 3B/OF. He ran a 4.61 home to 1B, but we have had him run as fast a 4.43. Offensively- Cameron starts with a very wide stance. His hands up next to his head, with the bat behind his head, 90 degrees to the ground. He has a extended load with a big leg kick; good rotation of his hips into the ball. Hands extend through the zone with some uphill lean back; exit velocity of 76 MPH (+6 MPH since March); line drive/fly ball results. Defensively- Quiet feet with his approach; borderline tentative. Drops right leg down into fielding position; hands get in front. Average transfer and release. Arm strength was at 67 MPH but with more in the tank.
Futures Instructional (March 5, 2016)
Cameron checks in at 6-foot-0 150 pounds. He ran a 7.52 60 and a 4.65 home-to-1B. Offensively- Cameron sets up in a spread stance with a flat to slight bat angle off back shoulder. Rocks weight back with a slight load of the hands and a leg kick that takes him forward. Aggressive back foot/hip rotation. Stands up some through swing. Bat sweeps through the zone with a high finish into foul territory. Line drive results with an improved peak exit velocity of 70 MPH (up from 67 MPH). Defensively- Cameron starts in a low to the ground approach typical for a corner infielder. Sits back some on groundballs, slowing his momentum. Uses a front shuffle with an additional skip within his footwork when throwing. Would like to see a cleaner transition into his throwing motion with his footwork. Arm strength peaks at 66 MPH.
WNY Pro Holiday Clinic (December 19, 2015)
The 2019 corner guy stands 6’ 150 pounds and shows a lot of upside. Offensively-  At the plate he sets up balanced and loads back to front using a leg kick.  He gets some upper half tilt during load causing a slightly uphill path.  The lanky frame creates some good whip through the zone that once shortened in the mechanics will gain even more power. Defensively- In the field he showed well at first base with athletic feet and smooth glove.  The projectable 2019 looks like he could play either corner and possibly move to the outfield as well.  The frame and athletic ability is worth watching develop the next few years.
