5-foot-10, 175- pound right-handed pitcher who put on a good show for the scouts. The fastball touched 87 mph and was true. Would like to see him add in more 2-seams to keep hitters off his fastball as he moves up in levels. The breaking ball is a plus pitch, 75 mph with depth and tilt. The pitch is an out pitch at the college level. The changeup was nasty in the game, as he got a couple swing and misses, sitting at 74 mph. The delivery is athletic and the direction is appropriate. The slot is slightly above ¾ and there is a little effort in the delivery. He is a strike thrower coming off a great high school season. Don’t let the height fool you, this dude can pitch.
5-foot-8, 175 -pound right-handed pitcher from the Hayner Sports Barn program. The delivery is athletic, the feet are online and the slot is plus ¾. The arm is fast and he is a strike thrower. There is a glove pull prior to foot strike causing the slot to raise, taking away from extension. The fastball touched 86 mph with run to it. The breaking ball is a good one, an out pitch at the next level as its close to 12/6 in rotation. The spin pitched touched 72 mph. The changeup is thrown correctly with fade and sink to it, sitting at 78 mph. Good looking arm. All 3 pitches work, has value as a reliever or a starter at the next level.
