7/06/20

Physical: Stocky, large 5-foot-10, 180-pound frame with advanced strength throughout the build. 7.76 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: LHH. Balanced, even stance with slight rhythm in the hands as they bounced on the shoulder in the setup. Utilized a controlled toe-tap stride to initiate a fluid, slightly uphill barrel path into the hitting zone. The top hand dominated the swing allowing for short time to contact, and plenty of impact at the front of the plate during batting practice. Hit into a stiff and adjustable front side creating repeatable actions in the box and quick adjustments at the plate in game action. Generated occasional lift to the RCF gap with a high finish and recorded a max of 93 mph bat-exit velocity per Trackman Baseball. A 72 mph peak barrel speed according to Blast Motioned further evidences the power he displayed in the box.

Defensively: The primary third baseman featured quality footwork arriving to the baseball on time and out in front of the left foot with a soft glove hand playing aggressively out in front. Was able to generate low posture through the fielding window and get downhill through the target with the momentum allowing for a quick, high ¾ slot on the release across the diamond. Made the play on the run with ability to change arm angles with accuracy. 3B - 82 mph

2/21/20

Physical: 5-foot-10, 180-pounds. Strong, physical frame. 7.51 runner in the 60; 4.2 home-to-1B.
Offensively: LHH. Starts upright with a slightly open stance, a narrow base, hands start slightly above shoulders with a level bat, uses a medium leg lift for timing Hands stay close to the body to the point of contact, very quick barrel through the zone, swing works uphill at finish. Lots of solid contact to pull side/pull side gap. 88 MPH raw exit velocity.
Defensively: Clean footwork on approach, stays low, fields the ball slightly off-center and in the middle of his body and funnels into his stomach. Quick arm swing with a high 3/4 arm slot.  INF - 82 MPH.

6/25/19

An athletic strong frame at 5-foot-10, 180 pounds. Ran a 7.53 in the 60 yard dash. Offensively- Stands in the box in a tall stance. Simple load actions. Takes a short stride towards the pitcher. Low effort swing. Ball jumps off the bat. Stays balanced throughout his swing. Projects to hit for power at the next level. Showed pop to the middle and pull side. Top exit velocity was 91 MPH. Defensively- Relaxed methodical actions from his lower half to the ball, wide base, filled with a soft glove throws from a high three quarter slot 78 MPH arm strength across the diamond, increases foot speed going into the summer should be a high priority in order to stay in the middle of the field. Overall very nice looking prospect in this current sophomore class that projects better at 3B at this point.

Shows good footwork with a strong arm. Next level 3B/2B projection.
