(Capital Region Open - July 29, 2015) Dominic Herald, C, CBA Albany, NY (2016) Herald stands a strong 6-foot-0, 200-pounds.  At the plate he showed plus bat speed and power, evidenced by a 92mph exit velocity.  His approach is balanced to start, but he is very aggressive through the zone.  Starts athletic with the bat head slightly towards the pitcher.  Short back-load with weight shift on the pitch.  Bat explodes on a downward plane at foot-strike.  Stays inside the ball,  with lift through contact. High balanced finish.  Wide target behind the plate, with athletic actions.  Blocks balls easily.  Plus mechanics and quick transfer.  Stays low and gains ground on throws.  Usually very accurate, but looked a bit tired on this day.  Tough competitor, leader on the field.

(New York Games - July 7-9, 2015) Has a strong, thick body frame of 6-foot-0, 200-pounds. Average footwork behind the plate but a solid target with a wide base, has good transfer ability and throws at a high-3/4 arm slot with accurate release. Has a relaxed and balanced setup at the plate, great projection as a hitter with a smooth load and short stride to the pitch, has compact and strong hands that stay level with some uphill tilt through the hitting zone, ends with an athletic high finish.
