9/18/20

Physical: 5-foot-11, 155 pounds; long, athletic build. 7.68 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Wide stance with even feet, keeps the hands high up by the ear with a 45 degree angle in his bat; uses a toe turn that rotates the lower half away from 3B line, hands are staying active throughout. clears the hips on time, drifts forward through contact occasionally with long barrel path, gets hands extended over the plate well. Hit the outside pitch well when he could get his hands extended on it, pulled the ball well too when he caught it out in front; peak Trackman exit velocity of 86 MPH.
Defensively: Athletic, wide set up with slight bend at the belt; lets the ball travel to him, takes laid back steps to get to the ball. fields under himself with a smooth funnel to a smooth transfer; low 3/4 slot with loose, long actions in the arm. INF - 65 MPH.
Pitching: Slow delivery, gets some back leg drive down the hill but occasionally pushes too far glove side. Gets very over the top with some pull from the glove side. FB: T 64MPH, 61-64 MPH. Located the fastball well in the zone with intent. CB: 53-56 MPH. Threw a tall curveball with movement to the glove side, located well at the bottom of the zone when he got extended.

7/22/20

Physical: Long and lean 5-foot-11, 155-pound frame with room to fill out as he matures. 7.79 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: RHH. Tall, slightly open stance with a wide setup, the hands show slight rhythm bouncing on the shoulder pre-load. Utilized a methodical load with a quick circular motion in the barrel coupled with a heel-raise stride to initiate his swing into the hitting zone. The barrel worked slightly uphill through contact towards a high finish deep above the shoulder. Showed some length in the stroke with barrel whip at impact, was able to create loud contact at the front of the plate. Showcased a pull-side approach during batting practice while hitting into a stiff front side and creating natural backspin to the LCF gap. Recorded a top bat-exit velocity of 83 mph per Trackman Baseball.

Defensively: The primary middle infielder featured long, deliberate movements during defensive evaluations with minimal momentum through the fielding window. Glove gets down at the last second while playing softly with a push or give technique off of the middle of his body. Was able to make the rangy play on occasion to the glove hand side. INF - 67 mph
