7/21/20

Physical: Solid and athletic 6-foot, 185-pound frame with plenty of strength found in the lower half. Binghamton University commit. 7.06 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: LHH. Wide, even stance with slight bend in the knees as the hands showed quick circular rhythm at the shoulder. Utilized a leg-hang stride to initiate a flat barrel path into the hitting zone. Feel for the barrel and high level bat to ball skills / short time to contact with tight turns on pitches thrown on the inner half. Can drive the pitch out over the plate through both gaps as well, above average hitter in the box and just knows how to find hard contact, adjustable and athletic lower half that allows hands to match plane early in the swing. Recorded a maximum bat-exit velocity of 94 mph according to Trackman Baseball, 327 feet peak batted ball distance.

Defensively: The primary catcher demonstrates advanced receiving skills beating the ball to the spot with a low center of gravity and a soft glove hand at the catch point, pop times ranged from 2.06-2.14 displaying quick and directional straight line footwork with above average catch / throw skills. Used a high ¾ slot with a quick release, moderate release with accuracy on the bag. Got the body around the ball on either side of the plate while blocking, glove buried in the dirt first with downward chest angles. C - 76 mph …. The outfielder featured solid straight line speed and active footwork showing a feel for movements in space, got downhill through the baseball while approaching it on the left side of his body, soft glove hand, stayed behind the ball hit in the air and could drop step and go get it in either gap. OF - 84 mph

Quiet confidence to his game for the athletic 6-foot-0 180 pound left-handed hitter. Will hit for average and develop consistent power. Defensively- Behind the plate he showed an accurate, on-the-bag arm with a positive ground gained with his footwork. Steady, calm receiver who was also solid in the dirt.

6/25/19

A projectable athletic build at 6-foot-0 tall,180 pounds. Ran a 7.09 in the 60 yard dash. Offensively- The left handed hitter stands in the box in a tall stance . Uses an athletic weight shift to load on his back side before initiating swing with forward stride. Keeps front side in at landing with head working down to the ball. Quick, compact swing. Barrel stays behind the ball and produces consistent line drive contact. Utilizes core/lower half to generate easy bat speed. Defensively – Mechanically sound set-up behind the plate. Pop-Time: 2.14 - 2.16
Strong arm that recorded a 2.14 pop time to second, high 3/4 arm slot that works fast and easy. Slightly open stance in the box, high hands, short load, mid-high leg lift, Barrel stays thru the zone a long time, 82 mph exit velocity and that number will only increase.
