9/19/20
Physical: Lean / projectable 5-foot-10, 130-pound frame with room to continue adding strength as he matures. 8.17 runner in the 60-yard dash. Offensively: LHH. Crouched, narrow stance with the hands starting high above the ear with the top hand elbow pointed upwards. Utilized a leg lift stride while landing narrow in order to initiate the hands through a flat barrel path and into the hitting zone. Got to a weak position at impact at times and lost athleticism in the swing, featured feel for the hands at the plate with ability to hit the ball where it was pitched, displayed a mostly line drive / ground ball approach through the middle of the field and recorded a peak bat-exit velocity of 79 mph per Trackman Baseball. Definitely room for more power in the movements, 22.10 mph max hand speed according to Blast Motion shows there’s some twitch present at the plate. Defensively: The primary outfielder demonstrated advanced footwork with downhill actions through the baseball while fielding off of the left side of his body, above average lower half drive after fielding created a couple extra ticks of velocity on throws. Could range to the glove hand side and featured smooth transfers from glove to throwing ear, accurate high ¾ slot towards the plate. OF - 68 mph Pitching: RHP - Started off of the middle of the rubber with a short side rocker step into a medium/narrow leg lift at the top of the stack, stab in the back of a high ¾ slot with adequate arm speed and extension at release. FB ranged from 64-66 mph with command in the zone and mixed in a developing 53-56 mph SL with minimal horizontal break.
