ENY Senior Day (10/20/18)

Wiry, athletic right-handed hitter at 5-foot-11 160 pounds with some fast twitch tendencies. Ran a 6.68 on the day. Offensively- Open setup; creates space with load as stride stays slightly open. Consistent contact to all fields; line drive results but will pound the gaps as he adds to his frame. Defensively-  Fundamental setup in the outfield; plenty of carry with throws in the mid 80's. Combination of foot speed and arm strength will allow him to handle all three outfield spots. Has the potential to be something special at the next level.

June 25-27, 2018 (NYS Games)

60 Yard Dash:
7.01
Exit Velocity:
86
Positional Arm:
85

Above average frame, lean build, wiry and very athletic in the OF. Quick approach and plus arm strength (85) that has carry to the bag. In the box slightly open stance. Medium quick leg kick, barrel path is fluid, above average bat speed, level swing path. Quiet loose hands on approach. Ran a 7.01 60 yard dash.

Preseason - Downstate (February 21, 2018)

He ran a 7.15 60-yard dash on lasers showing off high-end athleticism, definitely lower times in the near future expected.  at the plate he uses a wide set up with a leg lift for timing slight back load on the pitch. Barrel path is direct and level through the Zone with full extension out in front, 86 mph exit velocity off a tee with clear signs of more to come in the future. Defensively, fields a ball out in front, glove open with a quick clean transfer to his high 3/4 slot, all shows carry to the target at 83 mph, very athletic prospect to keep an eye on.

Last Chance Preview (November 18, 2017)

Sierra stands in at 5-foot-10, 140-pounds with a lean athletic frame. Ran a 6.72 – 60. Offensively- Righty sets up square to the pitcher in a wide stance. Quiet through the transfer getting into a good hitting position. Shows quick hands with a smooth level barrel path. Demonstrated line drive ability up the middle and to the pull side with gap to gap potential. Clean, smooth and fluid swing that shows high potential. Recorded an exit velocity of 79 MPH, slightly down from his previous best mark of 85 MPH set in September 2017. Defensively- Shows a good approach and quick footwork to the baseball. Comes through the ball well gaining ground towards the target. Long outfielder arm swing with an accurate arm. Recorded a positional arm velocity of 86 MPH.

ENY All-Star Games (September 17, 2017)

Sierra stands in at 5-foot-10, 140-pounds with a lean athletic frame. Offensively- Righty sets up square to the pitcher with his feet just outside shoulder width. Shows a slight knee bend with an upright torso holding the bat out in front of the back shoulder using little pre-pitch bat movement. On pitch, his trigger is a quick knee raise into the body before striding forward while his hands move back slightly. Utilizes good lower body rotation clearing the hips and getting the whole-body frame involved in the swing. Has quick hands to the hitting zone with level barrel action throughout into a high one-handed finish. Demonstrated good plate coverage with good gap to gap power to all fields making solid contact during batting practice rounds. Recorded an exit velocity of 85 MPH. Defensively- Good footwork and approach getting underneath the baseball. Fluid crow hop with a quick transition from glove to throwing hand. Could throw more downhill to help improve accuracy. Moves well left/right. Recorded a positional arm velocity of 72 MPH.
