Physical: Athletic, twitchy 5-foot-8, 164lb frame. 7.34 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: Switch-hitter - Mirrors from either side with a loose setup and pre-pitch rhythm in the hands from a shoulder-width stance. Utilized a controlled leg-hang stride to initiate the swing through a flat, whippy path with a barrel-tip before the trigger. Recorded a balanced approach, spraying line drives to both gaps during an accurate BP round. Topped out at 87 mph bat-exit velocity.
Defensively: Operated lightly on his feet on the left side of the diamond with up-tempo pace and a quick, short release from a H ¾ slot (79 mph). Rangy to the glove-hand side and made the play on the run smoothly.
Offensively: Switch Hitter. R: Feet shoulder width apart with weight on he rear leg. Keeps weight on the inside of the right foot and drives off of that to the baseball. Uses a leg hang as the timing mechanism. High finish. L: Similar actions as from the right side. Uses a toe tap for timing and has slightly more barrel whip into the hitting zone.
Defensively: The MIF works low to the around and stays in an athletic position throughout the fielding process. Moves on the balls of feet and moves side to side well with a quick first step. Proper glove presentation sets him up for success. Funnels to belt line a works through the short hop and backhand.
