We've seen Mike several times on the mound, today we got a good look at him as a position player. Leadoff hitter displayed how great speed can hurt an opposing team as he beat out a routine groundball to SS to lead off the game, took third on a pitch just a few feet in front of the catcher and scored on a sac fly. Mike was solid at 2B showing quick feet and a fast transfer on groundballs.

Pascoe checks in at an athletic 5-foot-11 and 170 pounds. An early season look showed that Pascoe had feel for his secondary pitches while sitting with his FB at 85-86 MPH. Delivery wise, Pascoe worked solely out of the stretch featuring a controlled mid chest leg drive. Arm action is long and works through a 3/4 slot. Exhibits body control, landing slightly open with his front side. Arm accelerates quickly through his release. Gets up and over front side with some give on plant leg. Finishes square to the plate with an occasional recoil. Change up showed some arm side fade with late spike at 78-79 MPH. Although velocity wise it appears to be firm, there is enough late deceleration that puts it into a better range as it enters the hitting zone. Curveball sat 71-73 MPH with some 11-to-5 type shape; featured late bite and was able to throw for a strike with ease. Above average early season command, looking forward to see him in game action come spring.
10/18/15
Pascoe works quickly through his delivery with a fastball ranging 85-86 MPH, action stays on one plane. His change-up, on the harder side at 77-79 MPH, shows promise with late fade/action. Wiry athleticism with high end hand speed.

Pascoe projects as a RHP reliever at the next-level. Long arm action that works well and will be able to repeat a relatively easy and smooth delivery and throws strikes. Fastball sat 85-87 and flashed a hard curveball with solid, late bite—may have shown one of best (Top 3) off-speed at workout. Can see as a quality college pitcher, but college guy first. (Area Code)
