NY Games (June 25-27, 2017)
Athletic 6-foot-1, 185-pound RHP, ran a 7.3/60. Pitching - short-arm action, ball jumps out of low ¾ slot, late movement on fastball at 80-82 MPH, throws 2-to-7 curveball at 67-69 MPH on both sides of the plate, consistently induces weak contact, effectively changes eye level. Offensively - short to the ball, keeps bat on level path through strike zone, full extension with an exit velocity of 86 MPH; repeatable motion, further lower body engagement will increase power. Defensively - quick, agile movements, confident and poised, sure hands, smooth and easy transfer, accurate arm at 81 MPH.
Preseason All-State (February 20, 2017)
Jaskolski stands in at 6-foot-1, 185-pounds with a tall and lean athletic frame. Ran a 7.69 – 60. Offensively- Righty sets up square to the pitcher in a wide stance with his feet outside his shoulders. Shows a slight knee bend with an upright torso holding his hands in front of the back shoulder using little pre-pitch bat movement. On pitch his trigger is a quiet knee raise into a step forward while his hands move back into a good hitting position. Very quick hands to the hitting zone with level barrel action through until contact. Finished high with a two hands on the bat and creates good torque with sufficient lower body rotation getting the whole body into the swing. Displayed line drive potential with solid contact up the middle and on the pull side. Recorded an exit velocity of 86 MPH. Defensively- Has athletic footwork to the baseball with fluid crow hop mechanics. Gains ground throughout the crow hop with good outfielder arm action and shows a strong follow through. Throws were on point and accurate. Recorded a positional arm velocity of 78 MPH; aggressive mentality.  Pitching- Sets up on the left side of the rubber and keeps his body weight over the middle. Quiet mechanics with a short step into his leg lift above his hip crease to get into his power position. Demonstrates good separation with loose arm action throwing at a ¾ arm slot with a proper follow through. Some collapse on front side as arm runs away from the body at times.  Fastball range was 80-82 MPH range and showed his Slider to be in the 68-70 MPH range. Fastball has some late life to it, while the slider needs work to get tighter rotation (staying on top/behind), to allow more break.
