WNY Unsigned Senior Day (October 21, 2018)
Lean, proportional build with athletic frame at 5-foot-10, 150-pounds. Offensively – Wide set stance with feet square to the pitcher. Hands stay relaxed prior to load. Gathers weight into back hip with short leg lift. Lands in balanced, athletic hitting position. Quick, rotational swing. Barrel gets on place with the pitch early and remains flat thru the zone. Produced line-drive contact to middle of the field and flashed some lift to pull-side. Defensively – Smooth, controlled footwork in the OF. Tracks and approaches the ball with consistent tempo. Inside shuffle to get momentum behind throws. Glove side and feet line up with target. Quick, clean arm action with high ¾ release. Athletic finish after release.
July 31 - St. Bonaventure
Slightly closed stance, knee light for timing, hands stay inside the ball, loose and compact, consistent contact, barrel path is mostly level through contact. Defensively, stays behind the ball, short arm-action, carry to the bag with quick hand-speed out in front, 80 mph exit velo. SS wide base defensively, quick and clean footwork, funnel is fast, arm-swing is fluid, release from a high ¾ slot, 75 mph arm strength.

WNY All-Star Games (September 24, 2017)
Crandall stands in at 5-foot-10, 145-pounds with a lean athletic frame. Offensively- Righty sets up square to the pitcher with his feet outside shoulder width. Shows a slight knee bend with an upright torso hold the bat in front of the back shoulder using little pre-pitch bat movement. On pitch, his trigger is a quick stride forward while his hands move back slightly into his hitting position. Utilizes good lower body rotation clearing the hips using his whole-body frame in the pitch. Shows quick hands into the hitting zone with upward lift barrel action throughout into a high one-handed finish. Demonstrated potential gap to gap power during batting practice round with clean fluid swings. Recorded an exit velocity of 78 MPH, 4 MPH shy of his previous best mark of 82 MPH set in July 2017. Defensively- Shows a good approach and footwork to get to the baseball. Has a strong crow hop and outfielder arm swing making aggressive strides towards the throwing target. Was accurate with the throws and moved well left/right. Recorded a positional arm velocity of 76 MPH, 4 MPH shy of his previous best mark set in July 2017. Pitching- Sets up in the middle of the rubber with a simple side step into a high leg kick above his hip crease. Good drive down with appropriate separation getting into a good throwing position with a mid ¾ release point. Utilizes whole body when throwing and repeats delivery on different pitches. Fastball sat 74-76 MPH and peaked at 76 MPH with good arm side run. Curveball shows good 12/6 action with tight spin and is 65-66 MPH.
Campus Series- St. Bonaventure (July 11, 2017)
Crandall stands in at 5-foot-9, 145-pounds with a lean athletic frame. Ran a 4.53 home to first. Offensively- Righty sets up square to the pitcher with his feet wide outside shoulder width. Shows a slight knee bend with an upright torso holding the bat in front of his back shoulder using little pre-pitch bat movement. On pitch, his trigger is a quick knee raise in to stride forward while his hands move back into the hitting position. Utilizes good lower body rotation getting his whole-body frame involved in the process of the swing. Shows quick hands into the hitting zone with a level barrel path throughout into a high two-handed finish. Demonstrated line drive ability up the middle and to the pull side during batting practice round. Recorded an exit velocity of 82 MPH. Defensively- In the outfield, good approach and footwork getting to and underneath the baseball. Shows a good long outfielder arm swing throwing downhill towards target. Fluid crow hop mechanics gaining ground throughout the movement. Was accurate on all throws and recorded an outfield positional arm velocity of 80 MPH. In the infield, Good footwork and approach getting to the baseball. Could field the ball more out in front of the body versus fielding it back in his stance. Fielding mechanics are smooth with a good funnel into the chest with a quick transition into the throwing position. Moves well left/right and in on the run. Recorded a positional arm velocity of 75 MPH.
Futures Showcase (February 28, 2015)

Crandall Stands 5-foot-5, 115-pounds. Offensively- At the plate he starts even with an athletic stance.  Small stride and back load for timing on the pitch.  Should work on removing a slight hitch before his hands move forward.  Opens his hips prematurely  before contact.  Keeping his front foot down will help him stay inside the ball.  Swing has some incline, finishes low.  Pitching- On the mound he starts with his hands high and in front.  Uses a sidestep to a high leg lift.  Small hand bump at top of balance point.  Good rhythm, uses drop and drive method.  High 3/4 arm slot.  Departs clean from rubber, should work on extending out and over his glove side.  Max FB 68 MPH.  Good young athlete.
